Comment choisir le bon chargeur pour son PC portable ?

Pour la puissance, une formule simple fait le lien entre puissance et courant :
P (watts) = U (volts) * I (ampères)
Pour l'exemple précité de 12 V / 1 A, une alimentation 12 V / 12 W convient :
P = 12 V * 1 A = 12 W

Le courant max consommé sur l'entrée secteur est indicative, il faut surtout, dans un premier temps, regarder la tension de sortie (par exemple ici 19,5 V) et le courant de sortie (par exemple 3,3 A ou 11,8 A). En résumé, vous pouvez parfaitement utiliser une alimentation secteur "surdimensionnée" en puissance et courant de sortie, dès l'instant où la tension de sortie correspond à la tension requise par l'appareil à alimenter.
